I ran in the NYRR 8000 this Saturday, and after not running for nearly a week, I spent the rest of the weekend recouping. Don't get me wrong, it was a great race, and I had a lot of fun, and I made it in a respectable time as well (51:45!) The problem is, all I can think about is, "What's next?"
I am now officially a member of the New York Road Runners. This will make me happy when it's time to sign up for the Brooklyn Half marathon, because the dues will be much less then it will be for non member. There's a 10k in the middle of April, which will probably be my next race (hey, it starts at 10am!!!) assuming that the knee gets better and better, not worse and worse. It is feeling better though, funny enough since I ran on Saturday. I'm going to be light on it, and wait until Wednesday to run again, with the brace. Seeing a sports doctor is probably in my near future.
That's pretty much what I feel like is consuming me. Running, trying to fit life into running and going to the gym. I feel like there aren't enough minutes in the day to do everything I need to do.
